The striker has said that he wants to leave Liverpool because of his desire to play in the Champions League.

Luis Suarez has said that two or three clubs are interested in signing him this summer following the revelation that the striker wants to leave Liverpool this summer, BBC Sport reports.

The 26 year old has been linked with many of Europe’s top clubs, with Arsenal recently having a £30 million bid rejected by Liverpool.

Chelsea are also thought to be monitoring the situation and Real Madrid have been linked with Suarez since the end of last season.

Suarez is due back at Liverpool for pre-season training on 21st July but he has said that things could change before then.

“This is in the future. You never know what’s going to happen. A phone call could change my plans,” he told a radio station in his native Uruguay.

“I am talking with my agent and I always have my phone with me in case anything develops.”

Suarez agent, Pere Guardiola has held talks with Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers and the Reds managing director Ian Ayre and the discussion is said to have been amicable and planned.

However, Liverpool reiterated their desire to keep Suarez at the club despite Guardiola telling the Reds that Suarez wants to play in the Champions League.

Liverpool will not consider bids lower than £40 million for their star player.
