Serb forward keeping an open mind.
Fiorentina forward Adem Ljajic is now ready to talk with the club about his future after AC Milan were linked with a move for him, Sky Sports reports.
The highly rated 21-year-old has been on the radar of a number of clubs including the Rossoneri and Manchester City, though until now he has remained tight lipped over where his future may lie.
Milan are thought to be leading the chase of the interesting parties and they have been keen to press ahead with talks as he enters the final year of his current contract. Fiorentina are keen for him to stay and are said to be preparing fresh terms to convince him to stay in Tuscany, but earlier this week they secured the signing of Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez meaning there will be increased competition for places next season.
However, Ljajic’s agent, Alex Vaiata, has said that the player is well aware of the interest coming from northern Italy but the pair will sit down with Fiorentina first to discuss what they have in mind.
“They talked directly to Fiorentina and it’s up to the two clubs to decide and try and reach an agreement.
“There has been no negotiation about a new contract because the player was not in Florence, but now there will be a way to talk with Fiorentina and we’ll see if there is a chance to extend.
“However, if they decided to sell him at Milan, we will consider this hypothesis.”
Ljajic notched up 12 goals in 31 appearances for the Viola last season.
