Alex Sandro, Porto
The impressive Brazilian youngster grew into his role as Porto left back this season, impressing in their Champions League campaign, making him a rumoured target for Manchester United in the process. The inconsistency of current left back Benoit Assou-Ekotto has led to speculation over his future at the club. The 22-year old Brazilian fullback would be an ideal competitor, if not successor to Assou-Ekotto in the Spurs line-up, although he still has a lot of developing to do. His attacking flair would take a lot of pressure off of whoever fills in for Bale on that left side, as they could create a solid tandem going forward.
