Italians only interested in permanent deals.
Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly rejected a loan offer from Everton for defensive midfielder Luca Marrone, according to talkSPORT.
New Toffees boss is a fan of the 23-year-old but is wary of the club’s budget as he looks to mould the squad into his own this summer and had hoped that Juve would consider letting him leave on a short term deal.
However, reports in Italy are suggesting that the league champions would only consider letting him leave on a permanent deal for a fee in the region of £9 million rather than let him go out on a short term loan.
Marrone joined Juventus as a six-year-old back in 1996 and worked his way up through the club ranks before breaking into the senior squad in 2009. But the Italian under-21 international, who has 30 caps at that level, has so far failed to establish himself during that time and has made just 20 appearances for the club overall.
His best run of first team action came in 2010/11 when he was sent out on loan to Siena where he made 18 appearances to help the club to reach second place in Serie B and secure automatic promotion back to the top flight.
