Premier League new-boys keen to strenghten in middle of the park.
Cardiff City look set to turn their attentions to midfield duo Tom Huddlestone and Stephane Mbia according to The Daily Mail.
The Welsh side are keen to strengthen their midfield as they look to build a team capable of retaining their Premier League status.
The club have shown that they are not afraid to splash the cash this summer, having secured the signing Danish youngster Andreas Cornelius from Copenhagen for around £8 million, followed by the recent completion of centre-back Steven Caulker from Tottenham for a similar fee.
Cardiff have however been frustrated in their attempts to bring in midfielder reinforcements after Blackpool’s Tom Ince turned down a move to the club despite Cardiff agreeing a fee with Blackpool.
That could pave the way for the club to make a move for Huddlestone, who is widely expected to leave Tottenham this summer.
Huddlestone has been informed that he is surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane after Spurs completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Paulinho.
It is thought that Tottenham are looking for a fee in the region of £3 million.
Cardiff are also reportedly keen on Mbia, with QPR keen to offload a number of players as they look to reduce their wage bill following their relegation from the Premier League last season.
