AC Milan walked out 2-0 winners courtesy of Mario Balotelli and a fantastic goal from M’Baye Niang.
Italian giants AC Milan looked in promising form in their last game of the preseason, beating LA Galaxy 2-0 in their exhibition match at Sun Life Stadium, Miami.
Milan’s form goalscorer Mario Balotelli opened the scoring on the 17th minute mark as the Galaxy, trying to play their way out of defence, had a pass intercepted, the ball played perfectly into the waiting Balotelli’s path by Milan new boy Andrea Poli. Balotelli had no trouble coolly dispatching his right-footed finish.
Teen sensation M’Baye Niang effectively ended the game in just the 39th minute, such was Milan’s dominance. The goal was truly something to savour, as the towering forward collected a throw in from the right wing before shrugging off two Galaxy defenders on the edge of the area. Todd Dunivant clearly thought he had done enough by shepherding Niang away from the area roughly 25-yards from goal, but he was wrong: Niang unleashed a rasping left footed drive to the far corner and past Carlo Cudicini.
