Captain lead by example in season opener
An impressive debut from Socceroo Mile Jedinak wasn’t enough to see Crystal Palace stave of a defeat to Spurs on the opening day of the Premier League season.
New signing Robert Saldado was the difference between the two sides, his second half spot kick condemned Palace to a narrow loss in their first Premier League encounter since 2005.
Speaking to the Herald Sun, The Palace Captain was pleased with the performance: “We made them work for it ,it was good to get the season underway and we gave a good account of ourselves.
“Sometimes we needed to be a little more composed but we got the first one out of the way and the boys know they can do it at this level.”
