White Hart Lane side target teenage San Siro star.
Andre Villas-Boas’s pursuit of further attacking options has taken the White Hart Lane boss to the San Siro with AC Milan youngster M’Baye Niang now on the Tottenham wish-list according to the Metro.
The North London side have brought in Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela from Valencia and AS Roma respectively but Villas-Boas’s side have still managed just five goals in their opening five Premier League fixtures.
Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor are repeatedly linked with moves away from the club and youngster Harry Kane is said to be likely to be loaned out.
Teenager Niang moved to Italy a year ago and impressed in his debut season but the subsequent arrival of Mario Balotelli in January and the signing of Alessandro Matri, along with the presence of both Stephan El Shaarawy and Giampaolo Pazzini at the club means that the former Caen man will struggle to make an impact at the Serie A side.
The powerful young forward made 24 appearances in all competitions last term but has started just one Serie A fixture thus far this season.
