Fulham have officially sacked manager Martin Jol and replaced the Dutchman with Rene Meulensteen.

The Craven Cottage side have struggled for form this season and yesterday’s 3-0 defeat away at West Ham was seemingly the final straw for Fulham chairman Shahid Khan.

The West London club had only recently appointed former Man United assistant Meulensteen to assist Jol and it seemed only a matter of time before there would be a change in management.

Jol took over at Fulham in June 2011 and saw his side win just three of their opening 13 Premier League fixtures and sit in the relegation zone three points from safety.
