2. Christian Benteke – Aston Villa
The powerful Belgian is still Villa’s top scorer this term despite injury and a slight loss of form. He has already been proven at Premier League level and would take no time to settle into life in the capital. Spurs had tried to sign him over the summer but to no avail and if they were to try their luck again they would need to dig deep in order to convince Paul Lambert to part with his star man.
Spurs need goals, and though Benteke is displaying some lean form at the moment, the creative options at Villa aren’t what they are at Spurs, and he could benefit from the work of the players just behind him.
