Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur are not prepared to offload misfiring forward Erik Lamela during this month’s winter transfer window, despite a wave of interest in the Argentinian’s services from a whole host of big-name Serie A clubs, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The attacker only joined the White Hart Lane outfit from Serie A giants AS Roma last summer, with Lamela brought to the north London club on a bumper five-year deal for a club-record fee of £30 million.

However, despite the highly rated Argentina international arriving in the capital with a huge reputation, Lamela has struggled badly so far for both form and confidence in front of goal.

And as a result, the 21-year-old has managed to register just one goal and three assists in total in his 17 matches in all competitions for his new club so far in this campaign, with Lamela still to even break his scoring duck in the Premier League.

But despite the likes of Serie A champions Juventus, former club Roma and Italian giants Inter Milan having all recently made contact with Tottenham to inquire about the possibility of taking Lamela on a six-month loan deal in the January window until the end of the season, the club are said to be adamant that their big-money acquisition is going nowhere.
