Though the West London side are handily placed in third spot in the Championship table Harry Redknapp’s side have managed just 26 goals in 24 fixtures, a lower total than any side in the top ten so a move for further firepower makes a great deal of sense.

Croatian international Jelavic has found himself down the Everton pecking order, with loaned in forward Romelu Lukaku impressing as the Toffees first choice forward, and with the 2014 World Cup finals months away the former Rangers man needs regular first team action and a move to QPR may be a sensible switch to make this month.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez has publicly confirmed QPR’s interest and appears ready to sell the 28 year old, stating;

‘QPR have asked about him,’

‘I’m sure he knows about it, because, these days, the players are the first to find out.

‘He will never go out on loan, but he needs to play to go to the World Cup, so if he is allowed to move, it will be out of respect for his career and what he has done for us.’
