North Londoners are also said to be considering signing West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long too.

The north London club are said to already be resigned to losing the services of England international Defoe this month, with the player heading to join Major League Soccer outfit Toronto FC on a lucrative £90,000-per-week contract that Spurs just cannot match.
And that means new Tottenham head coach Tim Sherwood is currently understood to be on the look-out for a new striker to bring to White Hart Lane in order to provide competition for current forwards Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor, with technical director Franco Baldini having been sent to Turin to watch the Serie A champions’ attacking duo in action.
Experienced Montenegro international Vucinic, who only has 18 months left to run on his bumper £3m-a-year deal with the Old Lady of Italian Football, has featured in just 11 matches in total in all competitions for Antonio Conte’s side so far in this campaign, scoring one goal in the process.
However, Spurs will need to see off interest in the marksman from Premier League rivals West Ham United, while a move for Quagliarella may prove harder to seal with the Italy international having only just agreed a new deal with Juventus last year.
