The giant Ivory Coast international had appeared to be verge of moving to Goodison Park this month after recently being granted a work permit by the Home Office.

However, following the news that prolific Colombia international Falcao has suffered suspected knee-ligament damage playing for Monaco on Wednesday night, the Ligue 1 giants may now be forced to pull the plug on the deal in order for Traore to replace Falcao up front in the South of France.
