Fernandinho arrived in the summer for a mammoth transfer fee, and has settled into the Premier league brilliantly. His relationship with Yaya Toure in the middle of the park has been the cornerstone for City’s excellent performances this term.
5) Steven Gerrard – Liverpool – 7.63 rating
The veteran Liverpool skipper has been deployed in a deeper midfield role, this term, but has still managed to influence games with his wonderful array of passing. He’s assisted six goals, too.
