Florence side want White Hart Lane bit-art player.
Fiorentina appear to be closing in on a deal to sign Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul according to the Daily Mirror.
The 28 year old has suffered with injuries of late and has just over a year to run on his current White Hart Lane deal and a fresh challenge in Italy may suit all concerned.
Fiorentina have met with Kaboul’s representatives and are ready to offer the French international an initial two year deal, with an option of a third year to follow.
Tim Sherwood has the likes of Michael Dawson, Jan Vertonghen and Vlad Chiriches to use as top quality central defensive options and as such would probably not stand in Kaboul’s way if he pushed for a Serie A switch.
Kaboul has started just two Premier League fixtures this term and made just one top tier appearance last season.
Fiorentina currently sit in fourth spot in Serie A.
