Spurs reach pre-contract agreement with Musa Yahaya…
Tottenham have signed Nigerian 16-year-old midfielder Musa Yahaya, dubbed in various African circles as ‘The Next Andres Iniesta’ on a pre-contract agreement, reports the Nigerian Bulletin.
The midfielder doesn’t have a work permit to live and work in England though, so will be loaned out to Spain where he will stay at Celta Vigo until his 18th birthday – when he will sign a four year contract at the White Hart Lane club.
The youngster prides himself on his exceptional technical ability, which has drawn the comparisons to the legendary Spanish midfielder.
Interestingly, Barcelona have been linked with Yahaya as well, but it appears that after securing a deal for Croatian prodigy Alen Halilovic ahead of Spurs, the North London side had a free run at the African teenager.
Yahaya has represented various Nigerian youth sides, and is currently a member of the prestigious Mutunchi academy, where his talent has alerted scouts from all over Europe.
The teenager starred at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in 2013, where he bagged four goals in seven appearances from the left wing.
Tottenham will hope he hones his talent in Spain before being granted a work permit in two years time.
