The highly rated Brazil international was even part of the north London club’s matchday squad for last Saturday’s Premier League encounter with struggling Fulham at White Hart Lane.

And when quizzed on his player’s omission after Tottenham had beaten their west London rivals 3-1, head coach Tim Sherwood claimed that Sandro had not made the squad simply because he had decided that the 25-year-old not playing well enough to merit inclusion.

However, now the Brazilian’s agent has suggested that Sandro could now be heading for the White Hart Lane exit door come the end of the campaign, before going on to add that there would be plenty of suitors keen to sign his client when the transfer window opens at the start of July.

“Sandro came back very well this year and how many teams are revamping their rosters for next season?” said Luiz Paulo Chignall.

“Who knows? There might be some official interest from clubs, but you can only tell that at the end of the season and the beginning of the window.

“He is a high-level player, adapted to European football and is now creating interest in the market.

“Surely he will continue doing a good job no matter what club he is at.”
