The Scottish international custodian had an excellent campaign despite his side’s relegation from the top tier and it’s not only Spurs who are chasing the 29 year old as Arsene Wenger is also said to be keen on bringing in the Bluebirds goalie.

Cardiff City are said to be keen on keeping hold of Marshall but may struggle to turn down good offers as they look to offset the drop in revenue they will experience as they return to the Championship.

Marshall has spoken publicly of his wish to play in the top tier again, stating;

“We worked really hard to get here and I’ve loved my first season in the Premier League,”

“It’s the best league in the world, it’s where you want to play and we would all miss it.”

Tottenham’s interest in Marshall is apparently a tacit admission that the White Hart Lane side could face a battle to keep hold of French international Hugo Lloris, who is none to keen on remaining at the club following their inability to secure Champions League football for next term.
