Netted the north London club’s crucial first goal just nine minutes after Curtis Davies had given the Tigers a shock 2-0 lead, and was generally a menace to the Hull defence during most of the game until replaced by Tomas Rosicky for the final quarter of an hour.
FW: Lukas Podolski – 6
The experienced Germany international had a disappointing match, with it being no surprise at all that he was substituted for striker Yaya Sanogo just past the hour-mark.
ST: Olivier Giroud – 8
The lone forward worked tirelessly throughout, with the Frenchman unlucky not to score when his header hit the bar, but he did play a key role in Arsenal’s winner after brilliantly back-heeling the ball into Ramsey’s path.
