Tournament gets under way in less than a month’s time.
England’s 23-man World Cup squad jetted off to Portugal on Monday for some warm weather training before they take part in their pre-tournament friendly internationals, with the players seemingly in good spirits.
The whole squad, plus back-up players Jon Flanagan and John Stones, will be staying at the luxurious Vale do Lobo complex in the Algarve before they take on Peru at Wembley Stadium on May 30 followed by Ecuador in Miami on June 4.
However, judging by the image that Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge posted of himself and Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on Twitter, the group appear in a relaxed mood, with the front man writing: “Chilling on the plane with @JackWilshere and @Alex_OxChambo looking forward to the training camp.”
