Check in to England vs Italy

Sunderland wide-man Adam Johnson is apparently set to move to Everton on a season long loan next term according to the Sunday Mirror.

Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is keen to strengthen his attack and will look to bring in the 26 year old England man having experienced great success with temporary additions in 2013/14.

Everton brought in Gareth Barry, Romelu Lukaku and Gerard Deulofeu last term with great effect and the Black Cats are willing to consider such a move so they can remove Johnson’s massive wage demands off their balance sheet.

Sunderland paid Man City £10m for Johnson two years ago and Gus Poyet saw the winger perform wonderfully well last term, finishing the campaign as Sunderland’s leading goal-scorer and top assist maker.

Johnson definitely deserves to represent a side at the right end of the Premier League table and the chance to move to a top six side who are well and truly on an upward climb would surely tempt the attacker.
