The 26-year-old is being continually linked with a summer exit from the Santiago Bernabeu despite enjoying a fine season in the Spanish capital that saw him wrack up 11 goals and 26 assists as the club marched on to Champions League and Copa Del Rey success.
Arsenal and Manchester United are understood to be keeping a close eye on his performances for Argentina at the World Cup, where he’s started in both wins over Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iran.
However, Di Maria has insisted that he is not focussed on the ongoing transfer speculation, and is instead concentrating on his country’s final group game against Nigeria.
He said: “I’ve asked my agent not to tell me anything about the talks he’s having.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen with my career. I don’t want to know anything about my future right now.
“I’m focusing on my national team and not on what’s going on elsewhere,” he added.
“My team-mates and I don’t read or listen to all the things being said in the media.
“We’re just thinking about ourselves and the unity of the group.”
