Pochettino keen to push through deal for 21-year old before it gets too late.
Tottenham Hotspur are keen to beat competition from Europa League winners Sevilla to land 21-year old Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to the Daily Star.
Spurs’ new boss Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to add to his midfield before the start of next season, and believes that 21-year old Brozovic would be a good fit for his system.
Pochettino is still scouring the transfer market for the right talent, and has also been tipped to land experienced compatriot Esteban Cambiasso this summer, when the 33-year old’s deal with Inter Milan runs out.
Brozovic, on the other hand, is an emerging star at Dinamo Zagreb, and has also been capped twice for his country so far.
Spurs have a number of midfielders in their squad, but Pochettino is likely to trim the deadwood from his current crop of players at White Hart Lane after landing a couple of his preferred targets.
The North Londoners are yet to make a major signing this window and the pressure will continue to mount on their new 42-year-old boss as the new seasons approaches.
