Tottenham Hotspur target Yacine Brahimi has opened the door to a move to the Premier League by announcing that he wants to join an ‘upscale club’, according to Sky Sports.

The 24-year-old is currently impressing at the World Cup with Algeria and is likely to start in the country’s last 16 encounter with Germany on Monday night.

So far in the tournament he has scored once and created two more as the north Africans surpassed expectations by making it past the group stage for the first time in their history.

Having caught the eye, Brahimi believes he is now ready to take another step up in his domestic career after spending the past two years with Grananda.

He believes that his form during that time have warranted a big move elsewhere, and he is now welcoming transfer talk linking him with the likes of Tottenham and Valencia.

“I learned from my time at Rennes and in the last two years I have grown and matured,” he said.

“My goal is to go to a more upscale club, but I still need to improve some things: my scoring, making assists and not just dribbling for the sake of dribbling.”

His agent, Francois Gil, also believes that hi client is worthy of a move further on up the ladder in the coming weeks.

“A match like this (against Germany) is a real achievement for a player who was able to overcome challenges and move abroad after an early career marked by meandering,” he added.
