Tottenham have completed the signing of USA international defender DeAndre Yedlin on a four-year deal – according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The 21-year-old right back will join Mauricio Pochettino’s side next year, after agreeing to return to former club on Seattle Sounders on loan for the forthcoming season.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Yedlin said: “I’m very excited to come to the Premier League & challenge myself against some of the best players in the world.”
Yedlin only made his USA debut earlier this year, but was one of the most impressive players during his country’s 2014 World Cup campaign, which eventually saw them lose out to Belgium in extra time during the first knockout round. It completed a dramatic rise for a player who only made his professional club debut the previous year.
The player becomes Spurs’ fourth signing of the summer after Ben Davies and Michel Vorm arrived from Swansea, and Eric Dier from Sporting Lisbon.
