Blues star on PSG & Monaco radar.Ligue 1 big-spenders Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco could be ready to pounce for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech if he drops to the bench at Stamford Bridge this season, according to the Daily Mail.

The long-serving Czech Republic international has been first choice for Chelsea ever since joining the club back in 2004, but now faces genuine competition for his place for the first time with the return of promising youngster Thibaut Courtois from a three-year loan spell at Atletico Madrid.

Courtois’ form in Spain may have persuaded Jose Mourinho to make him number one in goal this season, which would likely see Cech consider his future at the club, with PSG and Monaco ready to pounce.

The 32-year-old has been linked with both sides before, as they have been monitoring his situation for much of the summer, with a new top class signing in goal seemingly a priority for both clubs.

Courtois recently played 90 minutes in goal in Chelsea’s friendly win over Real Sociedad, suggesting that he is the player in Mourinho’s plans as the new season draws ever closer.

Cech could join other big names in leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, such as David Luiz and Romelu Lukaku.
