Paris Saint-Germain could come in with a final offer to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech on a season-long loan deal, according to the Daily Mail.
The Czech Republic international has been linked with a number of clubs this summer after falling behind Belgian youngster Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, having been number one for so long in his great career with the club.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is known to be keen on keeping both Cech and Courtois at the club, but PSG hope to come in with a late swoop to snap up the 33-year-old and make him the latest big-name arrival at the Parc des Princes.
The French champions have spent big on some of the world’s top players in recent years with the backing of their wealthy Qatari owners, and they have already raided the Blues for Brazilian defender David Luiz earlier this summer.
Cech could now join his old team-mate in France before the transfer deadline, as he is unlikely to be content sitting on the bench all season after previously being one of Chelsea’s most important performers.
It has been suggested that Mourinho will try to keep Cech happy by playing him in Champions League matches and occasional Premier League games.
