Manchester United fans have voted and defender Phil Jones has been named as the club’s Player of the Month for August.
England international Jones was kept pretty busy in United’s new 3-5-2 formation, making 10 tackles, 17 interceptions and 18 clearances in three Premier League appearances.
Jones committed just four fouls in total during those three matches and he was dribbled past by an opponent only twice.
In possession, Jones attempted 164 passes, completing 150 of them.
Jones received a 46 per cent share of the vote, while Tyler Blackett and Wayne Rooney placed second and third respectively.
