FIFA players have slammed EA Sports after it was revealed former Everton attacker Tim Cahill has been given a paltry rating of 69 in its latest edition of the popular football video game series.

It seems as though Cahill’s move to the MLS has severely decreased his rating, however his performances at the 2014 World Cup has led many to suggest the 34-year-old has been hard done by.

EA Sports have received a barrage of abuse (by mostly parochial Aussies) across social media and fan forums after Cahill’s rating dropped by 12 points since leaving the English Premier League two seasons ago.

FIFA 15 stats website Futhead was inundated with angry comments, most of which are not G-rated, but we’ll give you the link here anyway if you’d like to take a look at a bunch of livid Australians.

Typically, Twitter exploded with anger too.

They aren’t all Australians however, with this Swede expressing his ‘disgust’ with Cahill’s rating.
