There has been some strange red cards since football’s beginnings, but we don’t think we’ve seen one quite as strange as this. In a game between Honduran sides Marathon and Real Sociedad, the Marathon goalkeeper was given his marching orders for touching the bum of one of the opposition.

Marathon goalkeeper Junior Morales was already on a booking in the fiftieth minute when he picked up a ball in the box.
But as he went to punt the ball up field he reached out and touched the backside of the opposition forward.
Referee Manuel Zeleya awarded a penalty and sent the ‘keeper off, but justice prevailed as Sociedad’s Henri Martinez missed his subsequent spot kick.
