Jose Mourinho not impressed with Eden Hazard…

Ever the perfectionist, Jose Mourinho has criticised Eden Hazard in his post-match interview, which followed the Belgian scoring twice against Slovenian side Maribor during Chelsea’s 6-0 Champions League win.

Reports in the Daily Mail explain that Mourinho was unimpressed after his Belgian star allowed Didier Drogba to take charge of penalty duties, with the Ivorian forward scoring for the first time since returning to the club this summer.

“I wasn’t particularly pleased because I have my choices and Eden is the first choice. Drogba, Oscar, Fabregas and Diego Costa are there in case Eden is off the pitch,” the Blues boss told reporters.

Hazard returned to penalty taking duties later in the evening, before adding a second of his own to round off a comfortable night for the London side, clinching their biggest ever Champions League win.

With Loic Remy suffering from a groin problem, Drogba is the Blues’ only fully-fit striker ahead of Chelsea’s trip to Manchester United on Sunday, and will be relieved to go into the game with a goal to his name.

Mourinho wasn’t expecting Drogba to play 75 minutes of the game from the bench and said: “Remy has a problem in the groin. I was not expecting (Drogba) to play 75 minutes. He had to come on as the striker. It was too early for the kids to come on and play 75 minutes.”

Asked if Drogba would play at Old Trafford against Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils, Mourinho said: “He could be there. It was good for him to be on the pitch.”
