Three players Chelsea could ditch in January without hurting title hopes.
Some believe that Chelsea already have the Premier League title sewn up and in the bag. They’re wrong, of course, but they will be relying on a strong core of players to carry them through to the end. However, there are three names that the Blues could jettison without harming their credentials. The proviso is that they will then seek to replace these players at some point in the near future.

Petr Cech
The goalkeeper has been a fantastic servant for the club over the past ten years, and has been a key figure in a large part of their success during that time. However, there was always going to come a time when he would be moved on, and with the return of Thibaut Courtois that time is now. At 32 he still has a lot to offer, but he is too good to waste away on Chelsea’s bench, and with Mark Schwarzer behind him Cech will be free to move on and see out his career in the new year.
