White Hart Lane first team stars have two months to prove their worth.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to conduct a major clear-out with as many as seven first team stars fighting for their White Hart Lane futures according to the London Evening Standard.
Pochettino has his sights set on bringing in Southampton pair Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez though the south-coast side’s excellent start to the campaign may make such moves unsuccessful but the Argentine is nonetheless uncertain about the quality of a number of his squad and is ready to offload a number of players in January.
Aaron Lennon, Kyle Naughton and Paulinho are all set to be made available whilst Andros Townsend, Mousa Dembele, Vlad Chiriches and Roberto Soldado have a matter of a couple of months to prove their worth or face a Spurs exit.
Tottenham started the season in bright fashion but an alarming drop in form, including four defeats in six home fixtures, has left the north London club in mid-table and Pochettino is already under pressure having only taken over the club in the summer.
