Liverpool were heavily linked with a move for Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer, but it was recently revealed that Bayern Munich rejected all bids from the Merseyside club.

It seems that the German giants have now done a U-turn, and are ready to sell the player.

Manager Pep Guardiola apparently doesn’t think the Swiss star is “clever enough”, and believes he lacks a footballing brain.

Liverpool are expected to go back with a fresh bid in January.
