£20m Reds flop seen as a weak link by team-mates.
Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has lost the confidence of his team-mates after an awful run of form at the start of his Anfield career, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Croatian international is supposedly seen as a weak link by a growing number of his fellow players after looking highly unconvincing since his £20m summer move from Southampton.
Lovren had impressed in his first season in England last term, but has failed to reproduce that form for Liverpool and is now struggling for a first-team place after a number of individual errors and poor displays for the team.
The player’s future at the club may already be in doubt after this shockingly poor start, and it has emerged that many of his colleagues may not rate him, though he is supposedly insistent that he needs more protection from the midfield.
Lovren is one of many Liverpool signings this summer to have looked underwhelming since joining the Merseyside club.
