Harry Kane – 8/10
Opened the scoring with a glorious header in the fourth minute and then played a key role in winning back possession in the build-up to Eriksen’s winner. He was a menace all game long, with his power, skill and persistence. Almost scored a second goal on two occasions, but his crafty flick went just wide, before Gerhard Tremmel denied him one-on-one in the dying seconds.
Christian Eriksen – 7.5/10
Produced two moments of top quality that ultimately got his side three points. He delivered an excellent corner for Kane’s opener and then produced a great touch and finish to grab the winner himself.
Roberto Soldado – 5/10
Had a few nice touches, but was pretty anonymous during his 55 minutes on the pitch.
Subs:
Mousa Dembele – 6/10
Gave Spurs some much-needed muscle when Swansea were threatening to overrun them in midfield.
Benjamin Stambouli – 5.5/10
Slotted into the team with no fuss, despite only having 20 minutes of Premier League experience prior to today.
Nacer Chadli – n/a
Was not on the field for long enough to be judged.
