Blues ‘ready to sign’ Ghanaian ace in January.
Chelsea are said to be preparing a £24m move for Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah when the January transfer window re-opens for business next week, the Metro reports.
The Blues look set to add to their squad in the new year, with Jose Mourinho’s side locked in a fierce title fight with Manchester City.
Reports are now surfacing that the Juve midfielder has emerged as a top target, with the Blues prepared to shell out around £24m to secure his signature and bring him to Stamford Bridge.
The 26-year-old will bring some versatility to the Chelsea side as he is able to play anywhere across the midfield as well as in defence.
However, he has found himself surplus to requirements this season and has made just nine appearances across all competitions for the defending Serie A champions.
Asamoah began his career with Udinese, where he spent four successful seasons before making the move to Turin in the summer of 2012.
