The New Zealand international is high in demand at the moment as he nears the end of his contract at Upton Park, with the 26-year-old free to walk away from the club on a free transfer at the end of this season.

Arsenal appear to be one of his main admirers as Arsene Wenger looks to improve his options in defence, and it has now emerged that it will take a fee in the region of £7m to sign him this winter.

That could prove a bargain for the Gunners, though it remains to be seen if Wenger will pursue Reid as his priority target or continue to consider other options to come in at the back.

A host of big names have been linked with the club, but Reid certainly looks a solid option providing quality and experience for a good price.
