Everton former Samuel Eto’o is in talks with Sampdoria, according to the Daily Mail.
The Serie A side’s president, Massimo Ferrero, is said to be conversing with Eto’o’s representative, Claudio Vigorelli.
Eto’o has reportedly been offered £1.7m a year at Sampdoria, plus bonuses on an 18-month contract.
The Mail do not say whether or not Everton have been contacted by Sampdoria, nor if the Toffees are likely to demand a transfer fee for the 33-year-old, who moved to Goodison Park from Chelsea last summer.
However, they do claim that West Ham United may rival Sampdoria for Eto’o’s signature.
