Chelsea are often criticised for not giving enough homegrown players a chance in their first team…
Well, 17-year-old striker Dominic Solanke may just force his way into Jose Mourinho’s plans in the near future.
Solanke made his senior Chelsea debut as a substitute in a 6-0 win over NK Maribor in the Champions League earlier this season.
He is likely to be given more first-team chances if his current form continues.
Solanke has already netted 20 goals for Chelsea’s youth teams this term.
He scored a hat-trick on Tuesday night as Huddersfield Town were sent crashing out of the FA Youth Cup.
