Yaya Toure has thrown doubt on his Manchester City future with some hardly definitive answers in an interview with CNN before the African Cup of Nations.

The midfielder was asked directly if he wanted to stay with the Manchester side, to which the Ivorian replied: “That’s a big question and that’s an easy question as well, and you have an easy answer…we’ll see.”
Then asked if he would be at his current club next season, Toure was even more cryptic simply saying: “At the moment I’m at City, I’m at City at the moment.”
When pressed further he then added: “I don’t know. I’m at City. City is a great club where I’ve achieved lots of things.”
The comments will, however, throw into doubt the Ivory Coast talisman’s position with Manuel Pellegrini’s side following on from a summer of transfer speculation which began with his agent claiming he felt unloved because he was only given a cake for his birthday by the club.
