The East London club haven’t heard from the midfielder in the last two days…

West Ham United have had trouble finding the whereabouts of their Senegal international midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate after he went missing on international duty in the past two days, according to the Daily Mail.

Kouyate should be back at Upton Park after Senegal were knocked out of the African Cup of Nations by Algeria on Tuesday, but the club have had difficulty in tracking him down.

Sam Allardyce played down his no show though.

“We’ve had trouble finding him” he admitted.

“If you speak to all Premier League managers if they’re honest they will tell you the same thing.

“He should be back today after we’ve chased him down over the last 48 hours. He could play against Liverpool.”

This adds another dimension to the poor relationship Allardyce and West Ham have with the Senegal national team after the African side reported the Hammers to FIFA for not allowing Diafra Sakho to play in the African Cup of Nations, citing a back injury, but then playing him in January.
