Former Villa striker unconvinced by ex-Spurs boss.
Former Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore believes Tim Sherwood is not the right man for the job at Villa Park as the club search for a replacement for Paul Lambert.
The Scot was finally sacked on Wednesday after an awful run of form this season, with ex-Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood among the favourites to come in and replace him.
However, Collymore does not believe Sherwood is experienced enough for such a big job, telling talkSPORT: “I’m not convinced by Tim Sherwood, it’s a huge job [at Aston Villa].
“I’ve got a sneaking feeling it might be Tim Sherwood but I don’t think it should be. It should be a very experienced manager but the question is how many are out there at the moment?”
