Roberto Soldado’s Tottenham nightmare continued against Fiorentina on Thursday evening…
He’s only scored 15 goals in 67 games since his £26m move from Valencia in the summer of 2013, and it now appears as if Roberto Soldado is running out of chances to impress Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Spanish striker missed a golden opportunity in Spurs’ Europa League defeat to Fiorentina on Thursday evening, when the scores locked at 0-0 on the night, and 1-1 on aggregate. Unfortunately, Soldado elected to pass rather than shoot, and Tottenham went on to lose 2-0.
Pochettino, who was quoted by the Daily Mirror, said bluntly: “We are disappointed – the player is too.
“We played very well but didn’t score. We had chances but you need some luck to score if you are to win the games. All the players are disappointed. This was the first final for us. Now we need to look forward because Sunday we have another game.
“We analyse always and try to pick the best team for every game. I repeat – i think we played very well. We created chances and needed luck to score. There is no regret about that. It is my job it is my decision.”
