Liverpool are attempting to secure a summer deal with Hoffenheim for £18.6 million rated attacking midfielder Roberto Firmino.
However, it’s thought the Reds will have to fight off interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United if they want their man.
The Metro came that Liverpool have been scouting the Brazilian over the last 18 months and believe a figure just shy of £19 million will be required to capture his signature.
Firmino is seen as an astute addition to the Liverpool midfield line, with the outgoing Steven Gerrard the Merseyside club are looking to add numbers in the middle and replace his creativity.
So far this season the 23-year-old has managed a quite remarkable ten goals and seven assists from his advanced position, a respectable and quite impressive total from midfield.
Usually deployed behind the main striker, Firmino closely resembles the style of Philippe Coutinho, even loving to cut inside when stationed on the left to unleash a powerful strike or two.
