This is the second time Lucas Candido has suffered a serious knee injury; the first was at the beginning of the last season and left the player side-lined for the entire year of 2014.

He returned to play in at the start of 2015 and surprised both the manager Levir Culpi and the club’s fans with his excellent form.

The medical staff of the team have said the new injury has no relation to the one suffered last year to his right knee.

The side are currently third in the Mineiro State Championship, two points behind leaders Caldense after eight games.
