Here’s how the Blues players rated today:

GK: Thibaut Courtois – 6

He was at fault for Hull’s equaliser after a shocking error which gifted the goal to Abel Hernandez, but pulled off an impressive triple save midway through the second half to make up for it.

RB: Branislav Ivanovic – 5

Contributed to the confusion which led to Hernandez’s equalizer and generally had a poor game defensively which he will be disappointed with.

CB: Gary Cahill – 5

Cahill’s game was limited after being booked early on, but he still contributed with clearances and brave blocks from Hull shots on goal.

CB: John Terry – 7

Won his challenges and led his side from defence, an assured game from the Chelsea captain who deserves a lot of plaudits should his team go on to lift the Premier League trophy.

LB: Filipe Luis – 6

A reasonable Azpilicueta replacement, solid without being spectacular. Defensively the Brazilian was solid and contributed to attacking phases of play.
