Players choose to celebrate goals in different ways, but there aren’t too many out there who share Michy Batshuayi’s penchant for a quick suckle after a game.
The Belgian forward was in electric form on Sunday as he proved to be the difference-maker in Olympique de Marseille’s 4-0 demolition of Racing Club de Lens.
The Lensois proved resolute during the first half and OM were unable to break them down, with the ineffectual Andre-Pierre Gignac guilty of missing several chances.
Marcelo Bielsa rang the changes at half-time and brought on Batshuayi in his place.
The former Standard Liege hitman wasted little time in making his presence felt, profiting from some disastrous goalkeeping from Rudy Riou to fire his side into the lead after only 38 seconds.
Batshuayi was again among the goals late on when a slaloming Andre Ayew threaded the ball through to the Belgian who finished with aplomb.
How did Batshuayi choose to celebrate the excellent showing?
A night on the town? A well-earned evening in front of the tv?
No, not this particular sharp-shooter, who tweeted a pick of him with a baby’s dummy after the game.
Each to their own, I guess, Michy…
