The Stephanois are set to come to the Stade Louis II as they attempt to consolidate fifth place in the French top flight.

Monaco, sitting in fourth, have bigger ambitions. Leonardo Jardim’s side may only be one point ahead of Saint-Etienne, but they have a game in hand are in excellent domestic form.

The Club of the Principality will be hoping to crash the Champions League party and secure qualification for Europe’s premier continental club competition for next season.

The Red and Whites will also be harbouring ambitions of being involved in the title mix at the season’s end—they currently sit six points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain, who have played one match more.

Monaco will, however, be without the experienced Carvalho this weekend.

The former Chelsea defender sprained a knee against Serbia while on international duty for Portugal, and while he will miss the visit of Christophe Galtier’s side, L’Equipe do not believe he is set for a long spell on the sidelines.
